Cerebral Palsy and Movement Disorders

This track focuses on the pathophysiology, clinical classification, and multidisciplinary management of cerebral palsy and other pediatric movement disorders such as dystonia, ataxia, and spasticity syndromes. It examines perinatal brain injury, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and neurodevelopmental disruptions affecting motor control systems. The session highlights advances in neurorehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, robotic-assisted therapy, botulinum toxin use, orthopedic interventions, and neurosurgical techniques. It also explores neuroplasticity-based rehabilitation strategies and emerging technologies for improving mobility and functional independence.
